Sclerotherapy

 Scelorotherapy is a treatment whereby the injection of a medicine into  blood vessels causes them to shrink, improving their appearance and, in  the case of varicose veins, making them less painful. 

 Our aesthetics nurse, Ros Bown, will carefully listen to your concerns  and discuss with you the best course of treatment to attain your desired  goals. Each stage of the process will be fully explained to you during  this initial consultation and throughout your treatment plan. 

 Whilst lying down, the affected area will be thoroughly cleaned before a  small needle is inserted into the vein. An irritating solution is  injected which causes the vein to reduce in size. 

 You should remain active to prevent blood clots from forming and  sunlight should be avoided which may cause dark spots to form on the  treated area.
